Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Swain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swain comes to the cage accompanied by we made you by eminem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Swain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tom Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swain swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.

Swain prevents the takedown attempt.
Jones lands a nice knee to the body.
Swain managing to block the knees to the body from Jones.

Jones lands a right hand that snaps the head of Swain backwards.

Jones has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Swain uses from the top position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Swain shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.

and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Swain's guard now.

Tom Jones has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Swain is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Swain's back instead.
Jones has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Swain's body.
Jones wants to control but Swain manages to buck him off and is now in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Swain!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tom Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Swain with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Swain is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Tom Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
