Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bauer comes into the arena with Europe's blaring out of the sound system. Vic Bauer had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroud tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bauer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Bauer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Stroud gets to his feet - Bauer follows without any prompting.
Bauer leaves Stroud with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Vic Bauer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bauer misses with a two punch combination.
Bauer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stroud.
Some wild striking there from Stroud.
Bauer throws a leg kick but Stroud sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Bauer cracks Stroud with a good jab.

It looks like Lee Stroud has been cut.
Bauer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stroud's head backwards.

Stroud gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bauer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Vic Bauer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Stroud.
Stroud takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bauer swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bauer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stroud.

Bauer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Stroud dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

No joy there for Bauer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bauer tries to sprawl but Stroud drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Stroud wanted to stand there but Bauer had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stroud throws a big elbow that misses.
Bauer keeping moving, preventing Stroud from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bauer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stroud is controlling him.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lee Stroud wasn't active enough on the ground.
Stroud scores with a sloppy right hand. Bauer should have avoided that one.
Stroud fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bauer avoids it really well and circles away.
Bauer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Stroud gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Stroud does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bauer swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stroud counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bauer misses with a jab, cross combination.

Stroud shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bauer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stroud raining down shots from the mount!

Stroud lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Bauer hang on?
Bauer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
BOOM! Stroud connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bauer is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stroud tries to control but Bauer wriggling away.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Stroud fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Bauer regains half guard.
Bauer is staying active underneath Stroud, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Stroud winds up and cracks Bauer with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bauer pushes Stroud off looking to stand but Stroud dives back in and keeps control.
Stroud is looking to take a break and control but Bauer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Stroud looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Stroud is trying to work for a kimura but Bauer is defending well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stroud thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bauer's head.

Stroud is trying for a kimura here. Bauer looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Stroud wins by kimura!
