PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Locke Der Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Sosa told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Der Boss connects with a nice looking jab.

Sosa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Der Boss tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sosa is in Der Boss's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Der Boss can't keep his opponent in guard - Sosa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Der Boss won't allow Sosa to pass to mount.

Sosa is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Der Boss can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sosa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sosa has hold of Der Boss's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Der Boss manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Sosa looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Der Boss tries to lock up and control but Sosa gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sosa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Der Boss looks a forlorn figure.

Sosa avoids the attempt from Der Boss to control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
