The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hugh feints and as Hasashi raises his hands in defense, Hugh changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hugh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hasashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hugh has managed to get both his arms back between Hasashi's legs - danger averted.
Hugh not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hasashi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hugh is one step ahead there.
Hugh stays in close to Hasashi's body and controls the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mike Hugh hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hugh drives through with a takedown into Hasashi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
