The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saeed lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Saeed.
De Ertu pushes Saeed up against the cage in a clinch.
De Ertu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Saeed is trying to break the clinch but De Ertu is controlling him.
De Ertu lands a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Saeed wants to stand and escape but De Ertu is having none of it.

Saeed is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Saeed's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

De Ertu goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Saeed is on top in guard.
De Ertu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Saeed throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent De Ertu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and De Ertu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Saeed's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
De Ertu looking to sit in guard and control but Saeed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
De Ertu has his foot on Saeed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Saeed works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
De Ertu is looking for a triangle here but Saeed uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
De Ertu looks to move to half guard but instead Saeed has passed into mount! Damn!
De Ertu is desperately trying to improve his position but Saeed has a good base and remains in mount.
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Christian De Ertu.
I've got De Ertu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
