Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mal Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hessu Hopo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bodies kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Hessu Hopo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Reynolds.
Hopo moves out of range of the body kick.
Reynolds tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reynolds checks the leg kick.
Hopo lands with an uppercut that bounces Reynolds off the cage and back into range.
Hopo lands a right hook to the body.
Reynolds is breathing heavily.
Hopo thows a body shot but no joy.
Reynolds avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reynolds uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hopo.

Hopo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Reynolds tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hopo was well out of range. Poor timing from Reynolds.

Hopo works on Reynolds's body with a couple of short punches.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hopo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hopo lands a hook to the side of the head.

Hopo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Reynolds backwards.
Hopo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

No joy there for Reynolds, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hopo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hopo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hopo blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Reynolds lands a shot to the body.
Hopo gets through Reynolds's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Hopo throws a series of punches but Reynolds avoids them all with ease.

Hopo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Hopo lunges at Reynolds with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Reynolds's hand.
Hopo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Reynolds's hands.
Reynolds is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hopo scores with a nice right hand.
Oh Reynolds is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Reynolds on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hopo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reynolds looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hopo clobbers Reynolds with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hopo fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Reynolds to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Reynolds looks to clinch but Hopo throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Reynolds taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Hessu Hopo!
Hessu Hopo seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
