Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mutou Betrand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Ostin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Ostin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ostin misses with a head kick.
Betrand tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Betrand throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ostin throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Ostin counters by clinching up.
Betrand is trying to break the clinch but Ostin is controlling him.

Betrand's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ostin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Betrand pinned against the cage. Betrand gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ostin shoots in but Betrand avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ostin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Betrand as he jumps to the side.
Mutou Betrand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Ostin.

and Ostin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Betrand's guard now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Betrand uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Betrand tightens his grip and picks Ostin up, before dumping him to the ground. Ostin manages to land in guard.

Betrand frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Ostin tries to hold on but Betrand pushes him away.

Betrand avoids the attempt from Ostin to control.
Betrand lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Ostin is squirming around, avoiding Betrand's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Betrand scoring with strikes but Ostin is staying in there.
Ostin wants to hold on but Betrand pushes him away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Betrand tries a head kick but it misses.
Betrand throws a series of punches but Ostin moves out of range.

Betrand decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mutou Betrand overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ostin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Betrand. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Betrand looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ostin keeping hold of Betrand's head, controlling as best he can.
Betrand has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Betrand thows a huge punch but Ostin dodges it nicely.

Ostin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Betrand might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ostin is looking to stand back up but Betrand counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ostin.
Ostin is breathing heavily.

Ostin is looking for a sweep. Betrand is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Betrand connects with a nice short shot to Ostin's temple.
Betrand is trying to control the action in half guard but Ostin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Betrand wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ostin keeps working.
Betrand is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Betrand lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Ostin is still in real trouble! Can Betrand finish him?
Betrand looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Ostin covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
