Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bor Bratovz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bratovz has chosen Andrey Zheleznyakov - Oy, to ne vecher as his entrance music. Bor Bratovz struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ronaldo Palhares has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Palhares gets a double leg takedown into Bratovz's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Bratovz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Palhares defends well.
Palhares works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Palhares wants to advance to full mount but Bratovz doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Palhares stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bratovz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bratovz can't keep his opponent in guard - Palhares advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Palhares is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bratovz sees it coming and defends easily.

Palhares looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bratovz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Palhares is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Palhares is trying to control. Bratovz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Palhares content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Bratovz is controlling Palhares's position as best he can from this difficult position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Palhares is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bratovz is just riding it out for now. Palhares eventually gives up the hold.

Palhares seems to be looking for submissions.

Palhares thows a huge punch but Bratovz dodges it nicely.
Bratovz is looking for a sweep. Palhares is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Palhares throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bratovz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Palhares. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Palhares passes to side control.

Palhares has hold of Bratovz's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bratovz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Palhares cranks the arm and Bratovz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bratovz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
