PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harry Villegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasmin Bonsant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villegas comes to the cage accompanied by War is my destiny. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonsant lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Villegas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Villegas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Villegas throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Villegas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bonsant tries to avoid it but Villegas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bonsant to the ground. Bonsant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Villegas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bonsant keeps working.

Villegas thows a huge punch but Bonsant dodges it nicely.
Bonsant really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Villegas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Villegas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Villegas has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bonsant's face.
Villegas postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bonsant looks a forlorn figure.

Jasmin Bonsant's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
