The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omega misses with a wild body shot.
Grey misses with a looping left.
Omega lands with a good body shot.
Grey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Omega scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Grey blocks a head kick by Omega.
Omega leaves Grey with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Grey clinches.
Grey misses with a punch to the body.
Grey working aggressively here.
Omega tries to throw a body punch but Grey avoids it by throwing Omega back against the cage.
Omega trying to control the position but instead, Grey has worked for underhooks and has pushed Omega into the cage.
Omega can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Grey has Omega pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Grey pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Omega tumbling to the mat - Grey dives into Omega's guard.

Grey is fighting to break Omega's control of his arms but Omega is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Grey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Grey is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Omega's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Omega's back!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

You can see the frustration on Omega's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Grey wants to control but Omega is keeping busy.
Grey gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Grey.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grey thows a strike but Omega uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Omega as he ends up in Grey 's guard!
Grey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Omega tries to get to full guard but Grey has control of the leg.
Omega is refusing to be controlled, as Grey sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grey might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Omega kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Omega swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Omega throws a low kick but it's checked well by Grey.

Omega looks to land a combination but Grey avoids it well.
Grey cracks Omega with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Omega finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A lazy left from Omega finds it's target.
Grey takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Omega jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Omega throws a nice outside leg kick.
Omega ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Nice uppercut lands for Grey. That snapped Omega's head back.
Omega chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Grey can pounce on him.
Grey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Omega swivels and escapes.

Grey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Omega looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Omega works his way to full guard. Good work.
Omega will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Grey is looking to work some ground and pound but Omega has wrist control.

Grey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Omega swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Omega gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Omega fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Omega throws a low kick, looking for Grey's leg but Grey calmly moves out of range.
Omega stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Omega is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Grey shoots in for a double leg but Omega sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

I would just about give that final round to Desmond Grey.
