Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Walison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Walison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Burns!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walison drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Walison wants to control from the top but Burns keeps moving.
Walison knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burns on the ground.
Burns wants to stand up but Walison is controlling him.
Walison loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walison accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Walison slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Burns wants to sweep but no luck.
Walison stands up from Burns's guard - Walison perhaps looking for a knockout.
Walison shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Burns bucks Walison off and manages to get back to his feet!

Walison is breathing heavily.
Burns tries to escape but Walison is in control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Walison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burns keeps working.
Burns is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Walison's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Walison throws a strike but Burns rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Burns stands and throws Walison's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Walison is not content to let Burns control the position.

Burns is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Walison scores with a couple of nice shots.

Burns wants to improve his position but Walison is controlling well.
Walison is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Burns defends it well.

Walison pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Burns escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walison gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Walison drops back looking for a leg! Burns is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burns manages to kick Walison off! Walison jumps back into Burns's guard.

Walison throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burns tries to lock up and control but Walison gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Walison is just content to waste time from the top position. Burns takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Burns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walison can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Burns is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Walison's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Walison's back!
Walison is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Burns gets his way!
Burns has the hooks in. Walison is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Burns gets his hands free as Walison looks to control.
Burns has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Walison has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Burns controlling the position well here. Walison rolled but Burns kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
