PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Rod Brave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brave's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eco, Eco (somos de taleco). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer lands with a right hand.
Hammer misses with a series of wild punches.
Brave is looking to clinch but Hammer is avoiding it.
Brave throws a low kick, looking for Hammer's leg but Hammer calmly moves out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Brave, right into the meat.
Brave takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hammer displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Hammer checks the leg kick nicely there.
An inside leg kick from Brave misses.
Hammer lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Brave blocks a jab.
Brave throws a head kick that misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brave lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hammer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hammer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hammer dips to his left and cracks Brave with an uppercut!
Brave with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hammer to score with a decent uppercut.
Rod Brave seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hammer keeps the fight on the outside.
Hammer has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Brave throws a leg kick but Hammer sees it coming and moves out of range.
Hammer misses with a wild combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hammer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Brave keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hammer.
Brave moves to clinch but Hammer breaks away
and Hammer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hammer misses with a straight right.
Brave pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hammer scores with a nice head shot.
Hammer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Brave tries to land a leg kick but Hammer saw it coming and moves away.
Hammer might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Brave throws a body kick the misses
and Hammer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Brave is rocked!
Brave drops his guard momentarily, allowing Hammer to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Brave! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Hammer takes it!
