The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gallo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Johnson clinches up with Gallo and pushes him back against the cage.
Gallo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Johnson backwards.

Gallo keeps control of Johnson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Gallo jumps guard and drags Johnson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gallo has Johnson pulled in close to control his posture.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gallo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gallo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
