The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Belanger makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Belanger fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dickinson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Belanger lands a nice looking kick to the body. Dickinson takes a step back to recover.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Belanger is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Belanger lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dickinson's sensitive parts.
Belanger fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dickinson.

and Belanger counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Dickinson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Belanger can pounce on him.
Dave Dickinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belanger lands with a slapping head kick.

That has opened up Dave Dickinson's cut even more.

Belanger feints and then cracks Dickinson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dickinson down.

Dickinson shoots in looking for a takedown but Belanger manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dickinson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dickinson is still on wobbly legs! Can Belanger finish him?
Joe Belanger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Dickinson.
Belanger works Dickinson's body with a nice hook.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Belanger, as that shot connected.
Dickinson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Belanger walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Dickinson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Belanger swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Dickinson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
