Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slide has chosen Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimbo Slide!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slide closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Slide trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Slide thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Slide from controlling successfully.
Jones tries to strike from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to sweep here but Slide controlling him for the moment.
Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Slide trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Slide is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.
Jones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones controls Slide momentarily but Slide frees himself.
Slide pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Slide from controlling successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jones lands with a slapping head kick.
Jones just misses with a punch to the body.

Slide shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Slide postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jones looks a forlorn figure.
Slide has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
