Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Too Cold Scorpio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Star on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Star does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Star tries to score a power double leg takedown but Scorpio sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Star somewhat.
Jax Star seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Star forces Scorpio back against the cage and clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Star ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Star no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Scorpio is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Star is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Star is pressed up against the cage. Scorpio has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Star down to the mat. Star avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Star throws the kick towards the body but Scorpio avoids it.

Scorpio fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Star shoots in for a double leg but Scorpio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Too Cold Scorpio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jax Star.

Scorpio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Star was covering up waiting for the punch and Scorpio finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Scorpio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jax Star hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well Star has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
