The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fromtime fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pereira has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Pereira counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pereira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fromtime's guard.
Fromtime is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pereira looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Pereira has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Fromtime is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pereira yanks on the arm and Fromtime is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pereira.
