The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed takes a swing at Legba's ribcage but misses.

Speed throws a lazy right hand but Legba sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Papa Legba has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Speed uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Legba.
Legba lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Speed circles away quickly and effectively.
Speed looks to land a combination but Legba avoids it well.

Speed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Speed with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Legba to score with a decent uppercut.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Speed fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Legba looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Speed is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Speed feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Legba sprawling to the canvas! Legba rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Speed finish him?!
Speed lands a big head kick that sends Legba to the canvas! Speed follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

In his post fight interview, Scott Speed started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
