The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Rantanen both land. Nice combination.
Tyrmaaja looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rantanen with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Rantanen scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rantanen fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Rantanen throws a right and a left that Tyrmaaja avoids nicely.

Tyrmaaja clinches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tyrmaaja escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rantanen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rantanen wants to control from the top but Tyrmaaja keeps moving.
Tyrmaaja being controlled here, momentarily.
Tyrmaaja is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rantanen postures up and lands a big shot to Tyrmaaja's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rantanen chips away with some ground and pound.
Tyrmaaja is looking to stand back up but Rantanen counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tyrmaaja.

Rantanen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Tyrmaaja looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rantanen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Tyrmaaja is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rantanen lets go of the hold and Tyrmaaja can pop his arm back in it's socket.
