The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Parts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parts lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Akiyama thuds his right hand into Parts's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Akiyama throws a good cross that connects.

Akiyama lands a nice leg kick that just misses Parts's sensitive parts.
A looping hook to the body misses from Parts. Akiyama does a little dance to reset his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Kenji Akiyama will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Parts can do anything to dispel that myth.
