Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buster Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Illianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cherry's entrance music is Busters Back. A fine choice. Illianenko has chosen Only God Can Judge Me as his entrance music. Ivan Illianenko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Illianenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A nice combination there by Illianenko.
Cherry leaves Illianenko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Illianenko throws a leg kick but Cherry sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Cherry misses with an uppercut. Illianenko saw that one coming.
Illianenko takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Illianenko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cherry looks to score with a jab to the body but Illianenko is just out of range.
Illianenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cherry.
Illianenko throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Cherry counter with a right hand.
Illianenko throws out a leg kick but Cherry moves out of range and Illianenko only half commits.
Cherry motions for Illianenko to come forward. Cherry throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Cherry lands with a hook. Illianenko tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Illianenko.
Cherry closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Cherry connects with the punch.

It looks like Ivan Illianenko has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cherry drops Illianenko with a beautiful combination! Illianenko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cherry is looking for the KO!

Illianenko is rocked!
Cherry closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Illianenko! Cherry dives in looking to finish! Illianenko is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Buster Cherry decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
