Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Knyto Gruffo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Samba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samba has chosen Bezerker by Love Among Freaks as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Christopher Samba!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samba shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gruffo as he avoids it easily.
Gruffo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Samba fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Gruffo checks it well.
Samba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gruffo pinned against the cage. Gruffo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Samba throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gruffo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gruffo throws a leg kick but Samba sees it coming and moves out of range.
Gruffo fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gruffo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Knyto Gruffo has been cut.
Christopher Samba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gruffo slips under a jab.
Gruffo thows a body shot but no joy.
Samba misses with a low kick.

Gruffo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Gruffo looks to land a combination but Samba avoids it well.
Gruffo feints and then cracks Samba's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Samba down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gruffo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gruffo throws a nice looking combination but Samba bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gruffo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Samba on the side of the head.

Samba is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Knyto Gruffo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Samba.
