The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nymann Jr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Clark moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clark connects with a single shot there.

Nymann Jr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Clark is looking for a sweep. Nymann Jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Nymann Jr seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nymann Jr has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nymann Jr is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Clark to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Clark shrugs it off.
