Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sami Aura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eddie Veder!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veder closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Veder looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Aura thows a body kick. Veder tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Aura.
Aura lands with a right hand.
Aura buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Aura connects with an inside leg kick.
Aura throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aura connects with a leg kick. Veder looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Aura thumps Veder with a low kick.
Aura fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Veder.
Aura looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Aura throws a head kick that Veder semi-blocks.
Aura lands a right hook to the body.
Aura could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Aura dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Veder. That did some damage!
Aura connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Aura buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aura lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Veder tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Nice body kick there by Aura.
Aura throws a nice outside leg kick.
Aura slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheers as Aura lands an impressive looking overhand right. Veder doesn't seem phased though.
Veder is rocked!
Veder wants to stay close but Aura steps back to make room for something. Veder seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Aura and Veder drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Sami Aura!
Sami Aura very nearly forgot to thank ANABOLIC **160** amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
