Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seraphim Malachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seraphim Malachi!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malachi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Turner.
Malachi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Turner circles away.
Malachi looks to clinch
letting Turner counter with a right hand.
Turner misses with a head kick.
Malachi misses with a head kick.
Turner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Malachi.
Turner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Malachi throws out the jab.

Turner gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A body shot lands from Turner.

Turner jumps into guard, dragging Malachi to the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Turner pushes Malachi off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Turner forces Malachi back against the cage and clinches.

Malachi is trying to push Turner away but Turner has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Malachi misses with a punch on the inside.
Malachi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Turner to keep the fight standing.
Eric Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seraphim Malachi.
Malachi tries to break the clinch but Turner is controlling the position.
Malachi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Turner.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Turner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Turner misses with a takedown attempt
and Malachi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Turner throws a head kick but Malachi moves out of range.
Malachi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Malachi jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Malachi gets a double leg takedown into Turner's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turner has his hands on Malachi's head, controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malachi wants to pass the guard but Turner is keeping the position.
Turner looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Malachi wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Turner throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Malachi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Turner.
Malachi throws a sloppy head kick and Turner moves out of range easily.
Turner defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Malachi.
Malachi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Turner lands with a kick to the temple. Malachi shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

No luck for Turner with that takedown attempt.

Turner looking to score a takedown here. Malachi is defending well but Turner drives through and ends up in Malachi's guard.
Turner postures up in Malachi's guard and throws a big left but Malachi blocks it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Malachi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Turner controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turner has taken the fight to the clinch.

Malachi trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Turner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Malachi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Malachi won't allow Turner to get back to his feet.

Malachi trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Malachi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Turner seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Turner is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Turner wants to pass to mount but Malachi is defending the position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Turner in particular looking to stall.
Turner is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Turner avoids the attempt from Malachi to control.

Turner has hold of Malachi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Malachi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Malachi wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Turner.

Turner thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Turner unloads with some shots from mount but Malachi bucks and avoids them well.
Turner throwing strikes here but Malachi is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Turner with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Malachi is trying desperately to improve position.
Turner thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Malachi wants to control but Turner is having none of it.
Malachi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turner controlling from mount.
Malachi really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Turner dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Turner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Malachi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Turner as he jumps to the side.

Malachi tries to keep at a distance but Turner has taken the fight into the clinch.
Malachi misses with a punch on the inside.
Turner is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Malachi is pressed up against the cage. Turner has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Malachi down to the mat. Malachi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Turner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Malachi as he avoids it easily.

Malachi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Turner fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Malachi, pushing him back against the cage.
Malachi lands a body shot in the clinch.
Malachi jumps guard but Turner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Malachi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Malachi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Malachi is trying to stand up here but Turner is controlling him well.

Turner decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Turner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Malachi swivels and escapes.
Malachi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Malachi somewhat.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Turner shoots in for a takedown but Malachi shows good takedown defense.

Eric Turner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Turner shoots in looking for a takedown but Malachi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eric Turner.
Well Turner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
