Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carver Cade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carver Cade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corey Smith!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cade misses with a wild combination.

Cade clinches with his opponent.
Cade has Smith pushed against the cage.
Smith wants to get back to striking at distance but Cade won't allow it.
Cade misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Cade misses with a punch to the body.
Cade drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Smith gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cade drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Smith.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith is staying active underneath Cade, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cade thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Smith's head.

Cade is trying to control. Smith wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Cade seems to be working for a kimura but Smith defends the submission attempt.
Cade stops Smith from getting back to his feet.
Cade seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Cade throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Cade missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Cade winds up and cracks Smith with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Cade thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Smith wants to stand back up but Cade manages to pass into side control.

Smith avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Cade.
Smith tries to escape but Cade is in control.
The ground and pound from Cade seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Cade scores with a couple of short elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cade scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Smith to see if he's OK.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cade. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cade tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cade has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Cade is looking to take a break and control but Smith is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from Cade, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Smith uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cade has time to react.

Cade walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Smith lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cade manages to avoid it.

Smith ducks under a wild hook from Cade.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Cade throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.

Cade forces Smith back against the cage and clinches.
Cade can't get the takedown.

Smith wants to break the clinch but can't.

Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cade.

That was a close second round but I would say that Carver Cade will probably get the nod.

The fighters circling - Cade throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cade throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cade tries a low kick but Smith avoids it.
Smith throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cade throws a left and a right that both miss
and Smith counters with a stiff right hand.
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cade tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cade fails to land with a series of punches.
Cade misses the body punch
and Cade takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Smith lands a nice hook to Cade's body. Cade takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Cade throws a nice outside leg kick.
Smith connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Cade swings widly with a right hand
and Smith counters with a nice uppercut.

Cade is rocked!
Cade tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Smith is able to avoid easily.
Cade throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cade. Cade circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Oh Cade is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cade drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Smith swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cade's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
