Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lei Wulong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harley Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Voodoo Chile (Stevie Ray Vaughan). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lei Wulong!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harley Reyes!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes misses with a two punch combination.

Reyes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wulong's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wulong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wulong looking to control.
Reyes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wulong wants to sweep but no luck.
Reyes content to stall in guard here.

Wulong looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wulong is trying to control the position but Reyes postures up.
Reyes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wulong blocks a leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wulong, as that shot connected.
Wulong moves out of range of the body kick from Reyes.

Wulong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Reyes's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Reyes is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wulong is controlling him.

Reyes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Reyes scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Reyes throws a push kick but Wulong slaps the foot to one side.
Reyes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wulong tries to avoid it but Reyes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wulong to the ground. Wulong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd cheers as Wulong lands an impressive looking overhand right. Reyes doesn't seem phased though.

Wulong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reyes, pushing him back against the cage.
Wulong is looking to control Reyes's arms but Reyes gets an underhook and turns him. Now Wulong has his back to the cage.
Wulong misses with a body punch.
Wulong prevents a body shot from Reyes.

Reyes struggles to land a body shot inside as Wulong controls his hands.
Reyes lands with a short shot to the head.
Wulong goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Wulong misses with a hook to the ribs.
Reyes leaning his opponent against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Reyes content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Wulong misses with a punch to the body.
Reyes is trying to maintain a safe position but Wulong gets an underhook and turns Reyes into the cage.

Reyes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wulong lands a nice hook to Reyes's body. Reyes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wulong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reyes paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Reyes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wulong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wulong manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Reyes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wulong is working away from the top position though.

Reyes wants to slow Wulong down by chopping away at his legs.
Nice takedown defense from Wulong. No joy for Reyes on that attempt.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wulong drops back looking for a leg! Reyes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reyes manages to kick Wulong off! Wulong jumps back into Reyes's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Reyes is on top in guard.
Wulong wants to sweep here but Reyes controlling him for the moment.
Reyes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wulong closes the distance and clinches up with Reyes, looking for a takedown. Wulong pushes Reyes against the cage but Reyes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
