Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Wolfgang Gartner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gartner comes to the ring accompanied by Wolfgang Gartner - Undertaker. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gartner doesn't manage to clinch there - Blaze circles away.

and Blaze counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Blaze escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wolfgang Gartner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blaze throws a low kick but Gartner avoids it.
Blaze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gartner lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Gartner.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blaze lands with a hook. Gartner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Blaze clips Gartner with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Gartner a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Having scored a knockdown, Phil Blaze should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.

That's time! Gartner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gartner moves into range and clinches up with Blaze.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Blaze obliges.
Blaze tries to land knees in the clinch but Gartner avoids the damage to the body.
Gartner keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Blaze's efforts to push away.

Blaze breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gartner with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blaze to score with a decent uppercut.
Oh Gartner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gartner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gartner seems to have got his legs back now.
Blaze throws a sloppy head kick and Gartner moves out of range easily.
Gartner tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Blaze manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Blaze throws a leg kick which misses Gartner's front leg but catches the back leg as Gartner tries to avoid it.

Gartner lands a hook to the side of the head.
A frustrated look appears on Blaze's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Blaze breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gartner lands with a kick to the temple. Blaze shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gartner walks into a perfectly timed head kick by Blaze and drops face first to the floor! Gartner's eyes are wide open but he's not all there - he's just flopping around the mat like a drunk on rollerskates! The referee doesn't even start the count - he's called an end to the fight, with Gartner in no position to continue!
