The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deefoantoo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Daniels lands a body shot in the clinch.
Daniels tries to work over Deefoantoo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Daniels misses with the head strike.
With the fighters up against the cage, Daniels throws an elbow but misses.
Daniels lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Daniels swings wildly with an uppercut but Deefoantoo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Deefoantoo jumps guard and drags Daniels to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Daniels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Daniels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Daniels decides to stand and escape the position.
Daniels tries to close the distance and clinch up but Deefoantoo swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Deefoantoo has taken the fight to the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Daniels manages to get back to half guard.

Deefoantoo goes for a cartwheel guard pass here but Daniels does a handstand and catches Deefoantoo in mid air with a triangle! Could it be? It is! It's the triple decker pecker wrecker! The fighters land on the ground with Daniels on top - Deefoantoo is already out from the submission! Daniels gives Deefoantoo's pecker the obligatory post submission twist and this one is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over! Are you kidding me! That is world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That guy is my hero!
