Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Washington Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Beelze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beelze shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

so Beelze counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beelze accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Silva has his foot on Beelze's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beelze works his way back into a safe position though.

Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beelze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beelze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beelze drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Beelze jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Beelze working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silva's head.
Beelze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Beelze throws an elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Beelze's guard. Nice move by Silva!

Beelze had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Beelze is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Silva has his hands clasped together but Beelze extends an breaks Silva's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Beelze.
