Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barry Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liu Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kang wants to control the pace but Sanders is squirming around nicely.
Kang is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Kang wants to control but Sanders has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Kang really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanders. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kang is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kang wants to control from the top but Sanders keeps moving.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Liu Kang hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Sanders shoots in looking for a takedown but Kang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanders's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kang wants to clinch up but Sanders keeps it at a distance.
Kang scores with a head kick. Sanders tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kang is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kang shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kang was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kang throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Sanders is trying to stand.
Kang is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sanders has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sanders!
Kang working a defensive guard but Sanders passes into half guard.

Kang is looking to get back to is feet but Sanders passes into side control.
Kang is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sanders's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Sanders! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Kang has tapped! This one is allllll over!
