Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Donald Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Bast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Condit comes to the cage accompanied by Rise Against - Hero Of War . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bast has a takedown stuffed.
Bast is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Condit counters with a single leg into guard. Bast didn't expect that.
Condit slips nicely into half guard.
Condit controlling the action here.
Condit has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Bast tries to get to full guard but Condit has control of the leg.

Bast darts in trying to clinch

and Condit counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bast won't be happy with that.
Bast seems a little lost for a moment, as Condit dominates the positioning.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Condit seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bast for as long as he can get away with.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Donald Condit.
Bast lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Condit circles away quickly and effectively.

Condit got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bast has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Condit has managed to get both his arms back between Bast's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Condit closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Condit takes a little break here. Bast wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Bast is looking for a sweep. Condit is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Condit tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bast knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Bast is trying to maintain the position but Condit is very close to passing his half guard.
Bast tries to roll over but Condit keeps him under control.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bast lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Condit has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Condit and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Condit tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bast tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Condit swivels and escapes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bast tries to score a power double leg takedown but Condit sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bast somewhat.
Bast shoots in but Condit avoids the takedown attempt easily.

I really don't envy Bast right now.
