Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pity the Man With the Fast Right Hand. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Jan David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Marsh!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David throws an overhand right that lands on Marsh's shoulder, as Marsh tries to avoid the shot.
David thows a left - swing and a miss!
Marsh shoots in and drives through. David sprawls well.
David throws a hook but Marsh avoids it easily.

Marsh manages to get an easy takedown there - catching David on his heels. He'll look to pass David's guard now, I'm sure.
David pulls Marsh in close to his closed guard and prevents Marsh from doing any damage or advancing position.
David wants to stand but Marsh is controlling the position.
David looking for a sweep. Not yet David, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marsh throws a big elbow that misses.
David keeping full guard, as Marsh tries to pass.
Marsh is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Marsh postures up in David's guard and throws a big left but David blocks it.

David pulls Marsh in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marsh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Marsh tries to free his leg and advance position but David is retaining full guard.
David has control of Marsh's left arm, preventing Marsh from doing any damage.
Marsh is looking to work some ground and pound but David has wrist control.

We're going to have a standup here because Jan David wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Marsh moves out of range of the strikes.
Marsh shoots in for a double leg but David sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
David connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Marsh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from David.
David does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
David connects with a leg kick. Marsh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Marsh. David does a little dance to reset his feet.
Marsh blocks a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Randy Marsh will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

David swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marsh slips a jab from David.
A slow jab from David misses its intended target.
Marsh throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Good exchange - David coming out on top.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Marsh, as that shot connected.
Marsh steps to the side to avoid the strikes from David.
David loads up on a big right hand but Marsh slips the punch.
David feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marsh's calf.
Marsh shoots for a takedown but David saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Marsh chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before David can pounce on him.
David throws a right hand that Marsh ducks under and follows up with a left that Marsh also avoids with ease.

David is looking for a sweep. Marsh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
David won't allow Marsh to pass to mount.
Marsh thows a huge punch but David dodges it nicely.

Marsh is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so David is just riding it out for now. Marsh eventually gives up the hold.

David has hold of Marsh's hands but Marsh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Marsh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks David with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
David tries to roll over but Marsh keeps him under control.

Marsh is looking for a kimura here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marsh wants to control but David is keeping him busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Marsh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Marsh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as David sprawls well. David wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marsh gets slowly back to his feet.
David jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Marsh misses with a hook. David ducked under it nicely.
David bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
David walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Marsh uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from David.

David will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marsh walks forward, straight into a front kick from David.
