Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Hastings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spike Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hastings keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Law throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Law uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hastings.
John Hastings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Hastings misses the target.
Hastings throws a head kick that misses.
Hastings swings for the body but Law moves out of range.
Law connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Law keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hastings swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Law counters with a stiff right hand.
Hastings fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Law manages to avoid it.
Hastings moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Hastings is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Law.
Law shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hastings sprawls well. Hastings wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Law gets slowly back to his feet.
Hastings throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Hastings throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hastings throws a leg kick
and Law counters with an inside leg kick.
Hastings throws the kick towards the body but Law avoids it.
Law throws a lazy head kick
and Hastings counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hastings shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hastings throws a push kick but Law slaps the foot to one side.
John Hastings is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Law tries to bum rush Hastings with a series of wild strikes but Hastings uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hastings staying out of range there.
Hastings throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Law moves in looking to clinch but Hastings pushes him off.
Hastings misses with a hook.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Law.
A head kick misses from Hastings.

Law closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hastings quickly recovers to half guard.
Hastings is concentrating on defense, preventing Law from advancing position.

Law is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hastings sees it coming and defends easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Law is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hastings is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
