Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kreg Heg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackie Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jackie Chan!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chan.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Heg enables Chan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Heg manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Heg has control of Chan's left arm, preventing Chan from doing any damage.
Chan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Heg looking for a sweep. Not yet Heg, not yet.
Chan throws an elbow that misses. Heg uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chan's guard. Nice move by Heg!

Chan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Heg decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Heg tries to score a body lock takedown but Chan shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Chan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Chan is trying to break free.
Chan effectively controlling the action here.
Heg is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Chan pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Heg blocks the elbow strike.

Heg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chan scores with a decent looking hook.


It looks like Kreg Heg has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Chan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Heg is trying to keep Chan in close.
Chan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Chan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chan wants to pass the guard but Heg is keeping the position.
Heg tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Chan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Heg looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Heg looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Heg!
Chan is trying to buck Heg off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Chan stops Heg from passing to mount.
Chan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Heg is looking to take a break and control but Chan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Chan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackie Chan dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kreg Heg's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Chan moves into the clinch successfully.
Heg is trying to drag Chan to the mat but Chan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Heg jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chan walks away with a smile on his face. Heg gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Heg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Chan defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kreg Heg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Heg paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Heg has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Heg fails with the takedown.
Heg misses with a jab, cross combination.
Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Heg swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Horrible takedown by Chan or perhaps it was just good defense by Heg which made him look bad.
Chan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Heg avoids it really well and circles away.
Heg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chan tries to avoid it but Heg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chan to the ground. Chan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Chan.

Chan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Heg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Heg keeps working.
Heg tries to bench press Chan off him but Chan keeps the position.
Chan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Heg struggling a bit here.
Heg is trying to buck Chan off.

Heg is looking to reverse the position.
Heg prevents Chan from moving into mount.
Heg is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Chan trying to control the position but Heg is working away.
Heg wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chan tries to advance to mount but can't.

Heg wants to control but Chan postures up.
Heg is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Jackie Chan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Heg is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chan's back!

Jackie Chan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Chan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Heg pinned against the cage. Heg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chan shoots in for a takedown but Heg shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kreg Heg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie Chan.
Heg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Heg wants to control from the top but Chan keeps moving.

Chan wriggles free and stands up.

Heg swings for the body but Chan moves out of range.
Heg misses with a low kick.

Chan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Heg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chan postures up in Heg's guard and throws a big left but Heg blocks it.
Chan trying to control the position from guard on top but Heg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Heg is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kreg Heg just wasn't active enough.
Chan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Heg sprawls well. Heg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chan gets slowly back to his feet.
Heg misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Heg misses with a wild body shot.

Heg rushes Chan and presses him up against the cage.

Chan successfully pulls guard.

Heg stands up from Chan's guard - Heg perhaps looking for a knockout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chan is looking to clinch but Heg is avoiding it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chan throws a series of strikes that have Heg backpedaling.
Chan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heg moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kreg Heg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Heg slaps away a takedown attempt from Chan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Chan gets tackled into the cage by Heg. Heg maintains the clinch.
Heg is trying to pull guard but Chan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Heg missing with knees to the body.
Heg keeps control of Chan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Heg jumps into guard, dragging Chan to the mat.
Heg seems keen to control Chan's posture.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Heg controls Chan momentarily but Chan frees himself.

Heg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chan defends it easily.
Chan stopping the sweep attempt from Heg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Heg is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kreg Heg showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Chan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
