Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bat Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slade has chosen Billy Joel - Goodnight Saigon as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Bat Slade enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bat Slade!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slade shoots in for a takedown but Ngo shows good takedown defense.
Ngo wants to land a leg kick but Slade is out of range.
Ngo tries to land a leg kick but Slade saw it coming and moves away.
Ngo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Slade shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Slade is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ngo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Slade wants to free his trapped foot but Ngo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Slade is keen to just control but Ngo is a slippery customer.
Ngo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slade is working away from the top position though.
Ngo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Slade is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Slade is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ngo!
Slade throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Slade connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Slade thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Ngo gets back to half guard.
Ngo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Slade's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Slade's back!

Ngo lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Slade is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Ngo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slade trying to control the action but Ngo just sinks the hooks in.
You can see the frustration on Slade's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Ngo has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Slade turns into Ngo and is now in his guard.
Ngo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ngo throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
Slade won't allow Ngo to sweep him here.
Ngo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Slade!
Slade tries to improve his position but Ngo has taken his back! Ngo has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Slade tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Ngo pushes Slade away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Henry Ngo!
