Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samir Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carnivore Carcus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carcus has chosen Enter the grave by GRAVE as his entrance music. Carnivore Carcus will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vasquez is looking to clinch but Carcus is avoiding it.
Vasquez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carcus circles away.
Carcus ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Carnivore Carcus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vasquez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Vasquez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vasquez there as he acknowledges the shot.

Vasquez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Carcus's guard.

Vasquez wants to work for an arm triangle but Carcus is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Vasquez is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carcus to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carcus shrugs it off.

Carcus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Vasquez drops back looking for a leg! Carcus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carcus manages to kick Vasquez off! Vasquez jumps back into Carcus's guard.

Carcus wants to stand up but Vasquez is controlling him.
Carcus is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Carcus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vasquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Carcus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Carcus can't keep his opponent in guard - Vasquez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A close round but Carnivore Carcus will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Carcus lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Carcus scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vasquez.
Vasquez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carcus pinned against the cage. Carcus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Carcus throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vasquez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Vasquez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carcus.
Carcus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vasquez dives in and grabs Carcus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carcus pushes down on Vasquez's head and hops out.

Vasquez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carcus sprawls well. Carcus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vasquez gets slowly back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vasquez gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Carcus gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Vasquez is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

After winning the bout, Carnivore Carcus thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
