The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Rizzo tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Smith lands a two punch combo.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Rizzo's head but Rizzo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rizzo. Rizzo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Rizzo is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rizzo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rizzo.
Smith darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rizzo circles away quickly and effectively.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith dips a shoulder and cracks Rizzo with a mighty uppercut! Rizzo falls back against the cage and Smith unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rizzo is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Smith screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
