PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Prezario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Gauge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Prezario might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Step Up. Gregory Gauge will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gregory Gauge!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gauge looks to score with a jab to the body but Prezario is just out of range.
Gauge misses with a wild body shot.

Prezario changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gauge looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Prezario thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Prezario tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Prezario has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Prezario has hold of Gauge's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gauge tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Prezario cranks the arm and Gauge screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gauge, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). John Prezario!
John Prezario spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
