With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bu Bu Buu Da!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da misses with a wild body shot.
Kaufman Jr bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Da's head backwards.
Da throws a big shot that misses.
A slow jab from Da misses its intended target.
Da just misses with a punch to the body.
Da works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kaufman Jr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Da. Kaufman Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.
Da displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kaufman Jr.
Nice takedown defense from Da. No joy for Kaufman Jr on that attempt.
Da slaps away a takedown attempt from Kaufman Jr, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Kaufman Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Da swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kaufman Jr shoots in but no luck this time.
Kaufman Jr uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Da.

and Kaufman Jr counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Da's guard now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaufman Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Da is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kaufman Jr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Da is keeping the position for now.

Kaufman Jr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Da really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kaufman Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kaufman Jr passes Da's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Da trying to control here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Da can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kaufman Jr prevents Da from standing back up.
Kaufman Jr thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Kaufman Jr is trying to work for a kimura but Da is defending well.
Kaufman Jr lands strikes from half guard.

Kaufman Jr wants to work for an arm triangle but Da is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Kaufman Jr is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Da defends it well.

Da is refusing to be controlled, as Kaufman Jr sits in half guard.
Kaufman Jr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Da's head.

Kaufman Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Da is just riding it out for now. Kaufman Jr eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kaufman Jr is trying for a kimura here. Da looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Kaufman Jr wins by kimura!
