The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green tries to clinch but McDaniel is having none of it.

Green looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McDaniel is fending him off so far but Green persists. Nope, McDaniel circles away and we're back to standing.

McDaniel buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Green closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McDaniel did well to prevent Green getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Green decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McDaniel, up you get!

McDaniel pulls Green in close to his closed guard and prevents Green from doing any damage or advancing position.
McDaniel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Green is controlling him.

Green is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McDaniel is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McDaniel has escaped and now he's on top!
Green wants to stand but McDaniel is controlling the position.

McDaniel gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Green fails with an attempt to clinch.
McDaniel lands a nice looking body kick.
McDaniel throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Green.
Gracen McDaniel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McDaniel scores with a head kick. Green tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

McDaniel lands a leg kick that knocks Green off balance momentarily.

McDaniel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Green has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Green with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McDaniel to score with a decent uppercut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Green lands a left and a right that send McDaniel crashing to the mat, dazed. Green thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Green breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Green moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt McDaniel! Green continues to tee off on McDaniel, landing with a left and a right! Green connects with a right hand that leaves McDaniel sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Green!

Arthur Green decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
