Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magne Midgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Midgard comes to the cage accompanied by Crazy Train. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Midgard as he jumps to the side.
Parker slips a straight right by Midgard.
Parker shoots in and drives through. Midgard sprawls well.
Parker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Magne Midgard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Parker.
The fight stays on the outside here - Parker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Parker shoots in and bounces Midgard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Parker is stalling here. Midgard is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Parker seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Midgard has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Midgard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parker has escaped the position, nice work there.
Parker is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Midgard is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Parker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Parker has hold of Midgard's hands but Midgard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Parker is looking to clinch but Midgard is avoiding it.
Midgard pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Parker gets tackled into the cage by Midgard. Midgard maintains the clinch.

Parker tries to pull guard but Midgard won't allow it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Parker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Midgard walks away with a smile on his face. Parker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Parker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Midgard as he avoids it easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Midgard.

With the fighters up against the cage, Midgard throws an elbow but misses.
Parker jumps guard but Midgard turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Midgard obliges.

Midgard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Parker sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Magne Midgard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Midgard connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Midgard throws out a powerful jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Parker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Midgard misses with a body kick.
Midgard uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
An inside leg kick lands from Midgard.
Parker tries for a takedown but Midgard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Midgard shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Parker eats them both and turns towards Midgard to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Parker tries to move into range but Midgard moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Parker is rocked!
The fighters circle, before Midgard throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Parker's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Midgard lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
