The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida swings widly with a right hand
and Corleone counters with a leg kick.
Yoshida will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Yoshida shoots in and bounces Corleone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Yoshida is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Corleone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yoshida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Yoshida has hold of Corleone's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Corleone tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Yoshida cranks the arm and Corleone screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Corleone, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
