Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanislav Valentinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarcisio Jardim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Stanislav Valentinov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Stanislav Valentinov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stanislav Valentinov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tarcisio Jardim!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentinov slips under a jab.
Valentinov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jardim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jardim lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Valentinov tries to clinch up.
Jardim avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Valentinov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jardim jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jardim scores with a jab to the jaw.
Valentinov stuffs the takedown attempt from Jardim. Jardim gets slowly back to his feet.
Jardim lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Valentinov at a distance.
Jardim misses with a few strikes there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick from Valentinov lands but Jardim takes it in his stride.
It looks like Tarcisio Jardim has been cut.
Jardim swats away the attempt to clinch by Valentinov.
Jardim throws a lazy right hand but Valentinov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Valentinov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stanislav Valentinov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jardim lands with a right hand.
Jardim misses with a two punch combination.
Jardim falls off balance throwing a combination
and Valentinov counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Jardim out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Valentinov is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Stanislav Valentinov!
