Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Jorge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Canciatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge comes to the cage accompanied by Tropa de Elite. Mario Canciatta has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canciatta misses the shot to the body.

Jorge has managed to clinch.

Jorge gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Jorge passes into half guard.
Jorge stalling away here and it's allowed Canciatta to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Canciatta pulls Jorge in close to prevent any damage.
Jorge slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Canciatta utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Canciatta ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jorge moves away.

and Canciatta counters with a low kick, right behind Jorge 's knee.

Canciatta gets tackled into the cage by Jorge. Jorge maintains the clinch.
Canciatta is pressed up against the cage. Jorge has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Canciatta down to the mat. Canciatta avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Canciatta is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Canciatta stops a takedown attempt from Jorge.

Jorge is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Canciatta pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Canciatta throws a leg kick but Jorge sees it coming and moves out of range.

Canciatta shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Jorge thuds a left hand into Canciatta's body.
Jorge shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jorge rushes Canciatta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Canciatta struggles to land a body shot inside as Jorge controls his hands.
Canciatta prevents the takedown attempt.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jorge wants a takedown.
Jorge tries to pull guard but Canciatta holds him up against the cage and eventually Jorge drops back down to his feet.

Canciatta misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jorge.
Jorge blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jorge is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Canciatta is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Jorge misses with a body punch.
Jorge goes for a takedown attempt but Canciatta pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

A looping hook to the body misses from Canciatta. Jorge does a little dance to reset his feet.

Canciatta throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jorge's head.
Canciatta connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jorge's hands.
Canciatta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jorge closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Canciatta tries a knee to the head but Jorge blocks it.
Canciatta is looking to control Jorge's arms but Jorge gets an underhook and turns him. Now Canciatta has his back to the cage.
Jorge has Canciatta pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Canciatta manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Canciatta is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jorge is keeping busy.
Canciatta is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Tiago Jorge will probably get the nod.

Jorge jumps guard and drags Canciatta to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Jorge wants to sweep here but Canciatta controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jorge is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jorge lands a nice short elbow.
Canciatta is trying to control but can't.
Canciatta is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Canciatta wants to control the action here but instead Jorge manages to pass to full mount!

Canciatta tries to lock up and control but Jorge gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jorge lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jorge lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Canciatta! Jorge sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Canciatta and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Tiago Jorge spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
