The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares thuds his right hand into Destruction's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Soares misses with a straight right.
The fighters circle momentarily. Soares darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Soares thows a body shot but no joy.
Soares misses with a left hand

and Destruction counters with a nice double leg into side control. Soares won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Destruction has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Soares is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Destruction yanks on the arm and Soares is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Destruction.
