Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drock Blesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Knight!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blesnar circles away from the clinch attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Knight misses with a knee strike.
Knight is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Blesnar pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Blesnar manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Blesnar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Blesnar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Knight, who protects the arm well.
Blesnar taking a break here but Knight is having none of it and regains half guard.
Blesnar is stalling here. Knight is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Blesnar seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Knight has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Knight is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Blesnar's shoulder. That is not cool.

Blesnar is trying to control Knight's posture but Knight avoids it.
The referee asks Knight politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Knight prefers to stall for the moment though.

Blesnar tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Knight presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Knight is trying to stick to Blesnar's back but Blesnar is turning into Knight. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Knight's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Blesnar.

Knight misses with a takedown attempt - Blesnar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Blesnar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Blesnar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Knight doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Blesnar.

Blesnar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Knight is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Knight shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blesnar pinned against the cage. Blesnar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Knight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Knight wants it to stay on the feet.

Knight displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Blesnar.

Blesnar is trying to pull guard but Knight turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
