Saga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Twilight Saga hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Danielson tries to clinch up

and Saga counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Saga stays in close to Danielson's body and controls the position.

Saga shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Danielson is trying to defend but Saga finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Saga shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Danielson's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Saga accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Saga passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Saga takes a little break here. Danielson wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
