Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brady Harrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sid Savage!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage lands a nice hook to Harrison's body. Harrison takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Savage fails to land with a series of punches.
Harrison tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Savage shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Harrison defends it nicely.
Harrison throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Savage misses with a looping right.

Harrison closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Savage did well to prevent Harrison getting side control.

Harrison decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Brady Harrison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harrison ducks under a wild hook from Savage.
Harrison tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Savage swivels and escapes.

Harrison drives through and clinches with Savage against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Savage breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Savage throws a lazy right hand but Harrison sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Harrison is trying hard to land a takedown here. Savage sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Harrison clinches up with Savage and pushes him back against the cage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Harrison cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Savage counters with a series of strikes that sends Harrison to the canvas! Savage follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Brady Harrison.

Savage tries to circle away but Harrison has him pinned against the cage.

Harrison is taking a breather. Savage says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Harrison controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Savage wants to stand up but Harrison is controlling him.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Savage can't keep his opponent in guard - Harrison advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

We're going to have a standup here because Brady Harrison wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Savage blocks a head kick by Harrison.

Harrison swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Savage counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Savage swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Harrison scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Savage throws an overhand right that lands on Harrison's shoulder, as Harrison tries to avoid the shot.

Harrison tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Savage just stands there and leans against the cage.

Savage fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Savage lands a nice shot to the head.
Savage thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Savage lands a big elbow - Harrison is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Harrison is forced to tap out!

A relieved looking Sid Savage thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
