Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khairi Fortt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dragon Slayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Khairi Fortt!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slayer cracks Fortt with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fortt avoids the body shot from Slayer.
Slayer misses with a straight left.

Slayer throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fortt lands a slapping body shot.
Fortt throws the left hand but Slayer avoids the punch easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fortt is defended easily by Slayer.
Slayer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fortt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slayer.
Fortt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Fortt has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Slayer has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Slayer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fortt stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Slayer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fortt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fortt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fortt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fortt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slayer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Slayer is looking for a sweep. Fortt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fortt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slayer is just riding it out for now. Fortt eventually gives up the hold.

Slayer is trying to escape the mount but Fortt keeps good control and instead manages to take Slayer's back.
Slayer turns into Fortt and is now in his guard.
Fortt pulls Slayer in close to his closed guard and prevents Slayer from doing any damage or advancing position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fortt is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
